7 PAIN PILLS A DAY TO 1 PILL A DAY

For the past three years I have suffered from severe pain in my bladder, lower abdomen and back. More recently I developed pain all over my body. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in March of 2001. I would wake up every morning with the feeling of being run over by a truck.

I became extremely depressed. My life consisted of going to work and coming straight home to lie down until it was time to go to bed. I would have to wake up an hour early to take pain medicine because I couldn’t even stand up to fix myself breakfast without it. When my medicine wore off I would take another dose immediately, otherwise I would have to lie down. I never scheduled anything with friends because I had to save my energy for work.

I spent thousands of dollars on doctors while trying to figure out what was wrong. I went to three urologists, two-pain specialist several different family doctors and had test run at a hospital in Iowa.

I finally met an AlignLife doctor at a fibromyalgia support group shortly after I was diagnosed. He said that there was hope for me to feel better. The other doctors told me to learn to live with it. I decided to give AlignLife a chance to help me. Within a few months I was able to work in my garden after work. I was also able to cut a pain pill out of my day. This was a big deal because for the past 3 years my dose was always increasing.

It has now been about 9 months since I first went to AlignLife. I am going to graduate school full time and I work a few hours a week. I went from taking 7 pain pills a day to 1 pill a day. I still do not feel normal; but I feel much better than before. I get a little better every day.
