Our chiropractic experience all started this past February, when my son was 22 months old. He had just had his 5th ear infection in a row, been on ongoing antibiotics and very irritable when our pediatrician referred us to an ear, nose and throat doctor. We took him to this doctor, who spent maybe a minute with us to tell us to set up surgery for tubes.
We asked about alternatives and we were told there was none other than reoccurring infections. As my husband and I filled out the surgery paperwork, we hesitated when we got to the signature page. The page that says…”This surgery may not work, may have to be done multiple times and may cause permanent ear damage/hearing loss.”
We just didn’t feel like this could be the right choice for our son. Trusting our pediatrician and now a surgeon, we decided to schedule surgery, but didn’t feel good about it.
I was venting my frustration to a friend, who happens to believe in chiropractic care. She referred me to AlignLife and told me to just give them a try. I thought it was a long shot but as parents we wanted to feel like we tried an alternative before going through with surgery.
On the first visit to AlignLife, my husband and I knew we had made the right decision. Dr. Cristina shared her knowledge of milk allergies, my labor/delivery with an epidural history and the benefits of probiotics with us. It all made so much sense. Needless to say, I happily canceled the tube surgery.
Although I would love to say that my son was accepting of chiropractic the first or second visit, he wasn’t. The doctors at AlignLife as well as the whole staff accommodated us. The office was my son’s second home. After 2 weeks of us stopping by here and there to “play”, she gained his trust. I don’t know of many doctors that would do that. My son quickly figured out that he felt better after getting an adjustment.

My son has not had a single ear infection and only 1-2 colds since we started chiropractic care, 5 months ago. We also noticed his speech increase and his severe irritability decrease. I just think he feels better. He is now a VERY happy, fun-loving, well little boy. We owe it all to AlignLife and their staff. AlignLife has made my husband and I strong believers in chiropractic care. I jump at the chance to share our successful chiropractic care story and to recommend AlignLife. It’s so comforting knowing that there is an alternative out there and that she is there for us.
