I HAVE SEEN A MAJOR TRANSFORMATION IN MY JAW

When I was twenty-one, I was involved in a canoeing accident. I was canoeing on an advanced rapid ‘float” and my canoeing partner steered us right into and on top of a log jam. He backed the canoe off of the log and between backing the canoe up and the current, the log actually came up and hit me with tremendous force right in my head! I was knocked unconscious for a minute or two and when I came to, I felt and saw blood and excruciating pain! Luckily, an EMT who had been vacationing with his family helped me get off the river safely. When I arrived at the hospital, I received stitches, but I didn’t have thorough x-rays. I was basically checked for bleeding or swelling of the brain.

For six months following, I experienced horrible headaches, neck pain and an extreme tightness in my shoulders. I really didn’t even think about it being caused by the accident. I just thought I was fatigued from my physically demanding job. On a routine dental examination, my dentist pointed out my TMJ and inquired me about any accidents or traumas to my head/face. After this, I discussed the news with my mother, who referred me to a local chiropractor. My mother informed me that a co-worker of hers had TMJ and had her jaw reset. This procedure was unsuccessful for her and she was only relieved with chiropractic care. I then started chiropractic care and my doctor confirmed TMJ and also found tissue damage in my neck, and mild scoliosis. I underwent several months of care, then was released and told to keep up with my maintenance. I felt better, but not completely better.

I then moved over sixty miles away, slacked off of my maintenance care a little and over a year later, had an awful relapse. I was still nervous about chiropractic care, and about not knowing the “best” in this area, when a Gold’s gym employee suggested AlignLife. This was the best choice in care I believe I could have chosen! When I started visiting AlignLife, I was in extreme pain and even missing work more than usual.

AlignLife's approach was perfect! I have seen a major transformation in my jaw, it is unbelievable. In addition to this, my headaches were eliminated and my neck, shoulders, and back feel better than I ever thought was possible! I am back to work and back to myself! They also has an excellent massage therapy, I experienced muscle tension in my neck, shoulder, and upper back which made it, at times, difficult to adjust and achy, but with Tim’s talent, my muscles relaxed and this tremendously helped with my adjustments and well-being. I believe with my experience that all chiropractors and massage therapists are not the same and I believe strongly that with their expertise, they are the best!!!
